*Located on Spain’s Costa del Sol (western) on the coast between Estepona and Gibraltar 3 miles from Puerto Duquesa & the very Spanish village of Sabanillas, and 5 mins from the exclusive Sotogrande Marina Within a few minutes drive are world championship golf courses, such as Valderrama (Volvo Masters Course), Sotogrande, San Roque and many others, as well as Estepona which is known for being the most reasonably priced and one of the friendliest course on the coast.
Other activities include riding, sailing, polo, diving, walking, water park for the children & Selwo wildlife reserve not far away.
Culture and history can be found in the cities of Cadiz, Codoba, Estepona, Granada, Jerez, Seville &, Malaga, with a trip to Gibralatar only 20 mins drive down the road.
PLEASE NOTE, before you read any further.. Manilva / Puerto de Duqeusa & Sabinillas (all within 5 miles of each other) are not your typical British Holiday Resort, e.g. Magaluf or Benidorm, full of burger bars and fish & chip shops, and drunken brits. This area is very upmarket and not frequented by Package Tours. If you like package tour holdiays and do not like doing your own thing then Manilva is not the place for you!! Whilst they are upmarket places the prices do not reflect the very expensive prices that you will find in Marbella & Puerto Banus.

Gibraltar was a particular hit with us. We visited Gibraltar twice because we were so impressed with it. A very interesting place full of history and interesting walks. (Australians, of course, read novels where Gibraltar in often mentioned, but it is normally hopelessly far away.) Only 20 minutes easy drive from your apartment - very nice! Sadly the weather was not that good but the last 2 days were stunning. The apartment is fabulous - kitted out to such a high standard and extremely comfortable. It has everything one needs and such good quality too. My step-daughter may have left a white lacy top somewhere (we are not sure where as we did a very thorough check on leaving) but it may have got hidden by beach towels on the terrace or wrapped up in laundry when we stripped the beds. If Lin does come across it we would be very grateful if she could post it to us as it is Olivia's favourite top! Thank you very much again for letting us rent the apartment - we will certainly recommend it to others and would be happy to give any reference to others who are interested in it.
